Akbar has over two decades of experience in the film and television industries. With a background in design and a post-graduate diploma in Film Making from the London Film Academy, Akbar has made dozens of television programmes, commercials and corporate documentaries. He has produced several internationally acclaimed and award winning films, and has created content for a number of Blue Chip clients, such as National Geographic, 1130, Fox, HBL, & Aga Khan Development Network. Having identified a gap in the market for high quality content, he launched GrayScale in 2014 – with a vision for the company to be a cut above the competition. He is also a Director at Alsons Group of Industries, one of Pakistan’s premiere precision engineering groups; and serves as a Trustee at AAS Trust.
Sarah Asad is a development sector professional and has received training and exposure on leadership in the NGO sector, and children’s and women’s rights at various institutes, including LUMS; Women Leaders for the World Program at Santa Clara University; Philippines General Hospital in Manila; and Waldzell Institute in Austria. She is the first recipient of International Society for Prevention Against Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN)’s Presidential Scholarship awarded in Brisbane, Australia. She has worked extensively with vulnerable groups of women and children for the last fifteen years.
